Card of the Day: Three of Cups

The Manga tarot gives us the Three of Cups; cups are traditionally a suit of romance, relationships and family. It’s a card about celebrating what you have and the joy that you can bring to others that you’re close to and that they can bring to you. When the cups are taking on bettering yourself and your life through education the three of cups is about drinking from the font of knowledge, taking in all that you can take in so that your cup runs over with information that you can absorb to help better your life and situation.

Threes in general are cards of progress, of getting your rewards and experiencing the benefit of those things, and not only do you experience the benefit but those around you do too.

Card of the Day: Three of Wands

The Shadowscapes Tarot gives us the Three of Wands, today. This is a card of new opportunities. In the Shadowscapes deck in particular it is about starting a new journey with regards to property and/or employment. There is hope now, the journey is going to be a little easier for the time being and things are looking up, provided you don’t slack off completely otherwise you can shoot yourself in the foot for later on.

Still you can see your path ahead of you, and you know where you’re going now. You have security and opportunity. Make the most of it!

Card of the Day: Judgement

Today’s card of the day is XX Judgement from the Manga tarot. (It’s an interesting side note that all the cards say “Judgement” though the acceptable spelling as far as spell checkers are concerned is Judgment). Anyway, judgement is a card of winning battles, and having people around you be served their “just desserts”. Karma is kicking people, but karma kicks where it has to not where you want it too, so it may well be you whose karma check comes in which can be good or bad depending how you’ve been behaving.
Often times judgment does mean that legal matters are going to work out in your favor, but that doesn’t mean that they’ll be without sacrifice on your part. You can get what you want, but you may have to give things up in the process or make difficult compromises. Just remember it’s not up to you to be the divine hand of judgment, the divine can do that just well without your help.

Card of the Day: The Moon

Guest post by Kore today and she is using the Robin Wood Tarot Deck.

TCoD

The Moon, above other meanings, symbolizes the unconscious and intuitive. It represents what we do not see but know intrinsically. Pulling The Moon often means that the path before you is one that you have not anticipated and must be navigated more by feel than sight. Forget what you know. Follow what you feel.
Other meanings of The Moon include water and the feminine. It can symbolize a person just as easily as a frame of mind. This person is significant in your life and holds sway over emotional fields.

Card of the Day: Empress

Today’s card is from “The Celtic” tarot and is the Empress. The Empress is the third card in the Major Arcana, which means if she were drawn in a reading she would more likely represent something in the questioners life that was significantly more important or more weighty than something that was represented by say, the Eight of Pentacles.

The Empress is about many things, most often I find it talks about people who are nurturing, a lot of times it comes up if the person I’m reading from is finding a way to rekindle the fires of creative passion, and also if they’re helping foster that ability in others. It also represents the powerful feminine figure. I tend to think of the Mama Bear/Mama Wolf type; a person that you would associate with being the warm, caring mother type who would not only feed their family but feed their childrens’ friends and their friends families, but Gods help anyone who crosses her young or anyone else she considers Family.
