We joke about ghosts…

In our household we’ve joked several times about the television being haunted. The TV that we have downstairs came with the house and has several finicky ticks including turning off immediately after being turned on, or refusing to turn off, and occasionally turning on or off at random.

We’ve also joked about someone being killed in the house because of a conspicuous stain on the carpet padding upstairs and distinct lack of actual carpet up there when we moved in. However the latter we’ve had no proof of, and there were no reports of anything such as that on any paperwork, just our jokes.

The television still remains a mystery. I did a cleansing on the house when we first moved in because that’s just something that I do whenever we move somewhere. I sweep the house physically and spiritually and also go throughout the house with smudge stick asking for the cleansing and blessing from each of the elemental guardians as I do.

The idea is that anything lingering with ill intention leaves and anything else only comes in when asked. Despite that, we’ve heard from our son that there may well be ghosts in the yard. He’s spoken several times about someone called Jeffrey who used to have a dog, and wants to go home because he’s dead.
